The gig started at 4:30pm, but Sunk Loto weren't on until 5:30, following local support Chilblain which we missed the majority of.
The gig began with the intro to Lift being belted out of Luke's guitar which sent the crowd wild. Dane was awesome as always and impressed the crowd with his skill. Sean was great on bass, thumping out some heavy bass riffs. Despite some technical difficulties, Luke still managed to put on a crowd pleasing show. Along with the mellow and harsh vocals sent out by Jason, the band was complete.
Sunk Loto played the usual favourites, Lift, Vinegar Stroke, Porcelain Buddah and Submission, as well as new track Big Picture Lies that featured on Triple J's Mt Isa Unearthed. Their new material is sounding really good, can't wait for the album.
In about the middle of the gig, Jason announced a minute of silence to be held for the people who died in the war, as the gig was held in the RSL.
The mosh, though not as big as usual, still managed to hurt each other and go spastic. The set closed with Submission, and the band left the stage. A filth show overall.
