SUNK @ THE WATERLOO,
June 9th, 2000

Damn!!!!! is probably the first word I'd describe this gig with. Sunk Rocked the house and showed Rollerball and the Testeagles how to rock. Tho I couldn't tell you the setlist They Opened with "Lift", and closed with "Submission" and a strange ommission was "Blunt" which was really disappointing becos it's my favourite song on the EP. But they lifted a fairly dormant crowd enuf to have the "Nazi security guards" crack the shits at the stage divers and crowd surfers; as a result of this Jason looked like he was gonna belt one security guard after he came on stage (I think it was during Porcelain Buddah, I don't know I can't merember that far back) for about the fourth time in the song.

Jason rocked out as per usual and also as usual had plenty of Girls drooling over him. Luke played his hard edged riffs to perfection accentuating the gig by coming off the stage last to get that last bit of feedback for us Sunk hungry fans. He finished by ripping his lead out and throwing his pick into my waiting hands and walking off to the roaring approval of the crowd!! Sean kept up the bass section with some of his pumping style which I could feel rippling thru my body each time he played a note. Dane ... what can I say Second time I've seen you on the new Kit and shit no-one can deny you deserve a DW. He set the thing up himself(I've never seen ne other top drummer set their own kit up on stage but it was good becos you could see the care he has for it. He played long and hard showing appropriate finesse where required but keeping up the heavy kick ass style we all know and love him for :P .

The waterloo was host to the fairly decent sized crowd of which a good percentage left after Sunk for obvious reasons such as the Testeagles being a bit of an anti-climax after Sunk being so damn good. Well that's about all I have to say about the show but if I was to sum it all up in one word it would be: DAMN!!!!
